Century of Beekeeping Expertise

At Karibee, we bring over a century of beekeeping expertise to ensure our honey reflects the rich natural heritage of Western Australia. The clean environment and unique native plants, like those that produce our famous Jarrah honey, contribute to the superior quality of our products. Jarrah honey is especially prized for its high antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, which can help inhibit harmful bacteria like Golden Staph.

ANB’s work is supported by a top-notch research team, including experts in agriculture, food, nutrition, medicine, and microbiology. We collaborate with leading institutions like the University of Western Australia, Curtin University, and others to turn scientific research into high-quality honey and health products.

Whether you want to buy pure, organic honey or need international shipping, Karibee offers a taste of Australia’s natural goodness, backed by science and a commitment to quality.

Meet Dr. Peter Detchon

Dr Peter Detchon, the manager of ANB’s apiary, is also a leader in the WA bee industry; Dr Detchon has shaped the beekeeping industry in Western Australia, laid the foundation for the beekeeping businesses in WA and is the flagship of ANB. Dr Detchon was the doctor that successfully graduated from the University of Western Australia’s Medical school. The first beekeeper to advocate for a full-scale zero pesticide, zero-antibiotic beekeeper in Western Australia after the crisis, and eventually made the government legislate for it; the legislations lasted till today. He was the first biological expert to advocate for scientific beekeeping, to cultivate sterile bee species as his own beekeeping subject. He trained the descendants of ‘hygiene Queen’ to be stronger and produce honey colonies.
